About

Chef DeAnna Germano started Chef4Rent to bring her love of healthy, nutritious meals to families everywhere. After starting her career working in various restaurants, she decided to branch out and start a business built on her passion for food. As a working mother herself, trying to find balance between career and family, she decided to start Chef4Rent to rent out her Chef services for in home dinner parties, private cooking classes, catering, party planning, cake baking, and even pre-prepared home meal deliveries.

Chef DeAnna has many accolades, it began in 2016 she was honored to receive the Syracuse Business Woman’s Award for Community Achievement for creation of a kids cooking program at local YMCAs.  But that was just the beginning. In 2017, Chef DeAnna was featured on the cover of Syracuse Woman’s Magazine which helped catapult her career.  In 2017 Chef DeAnna was also awarded a 40 under 40 recognition from the Syracuse Business Association, the 2019 Businessperson of the Year and the Family Owned Business Community Service Excellence Award.  Since, Chef DeAnna has been featured on Food Network’s “Guys Grocery Games” and “Beat Bobby Flay”. However, Chef DeAnna does not plan to stop there.  She is ready to serve the greater Raleigh-Durham area, and expand her business in her new home.

Meet Chef DeAnna:

20170301_061110After working in the industry, I received my bachelors degree in Culinary Arts and Service Management from Paul Smith’s College and an Associates in Business in just 3 years with high honors. In 2014, Chef4Rent was launched focusing on in home meal deliveries, in home dinner parties and private catering.  Eventually I had the amazing opportunity to own my own restaurant, The Chef & The Cook in Syracuse, NY.  The Covid-19 Pandemic proved to be a turning point in my career, this is when I relocated to Raleigh, NC, and decided to pursue other opportunities. As the pandemic stretched on, I had to lay my knives down and work from home. Towards the end of 2021, I was able to get back into my industry becoming an executive chef in high volume catering and even worked at Duke University as an executive chef.  However, my passion is still working for myself, creating a life for my kids and myself that is surrounded by love, laughter and balance.

Anyone who really knows me, knows my passion for food. I have been cooking since an early age with my family and love to cook for those on their special days like weddings, parties and just a small gathering of friends and family. Food can bring people together at times of need and in times of celebration and that’s what I hope to bring to you and your families.  I have an affinity for creating memorable experiences that my customers will never forget.

Being a chef is a part of my life where I can create memorable parties for families and friends using my artistic skills, and my attention to detail takes it to the next level. Food connects people, and is something we all relate to in different ways. Whether a graduation, wedding or birthday party, we strive to make your party memorable with great food and impeccable customer service.

And don’t be surprised if you find me at a local charity event. Non profit work is one of my passions – recently volunteering my chef services at events at the Ronald MacDonald House, March of Dimes and American Cancer Society events.

  • We enjoyed a fabulous 3-course in-home dinner for 6 prepared by chef4rent last weekend. We worked together to choose the menu (risotto with winter vegetables, braciola, gluten-free almond cake topped with chocolate mousse on plate of fresh berry coulis). We highly recommend DeAnna. She’s a well-trained professional: food was excellent, beautifully presented, and she even included a fun cooking demo for the risotto. Give her a try, you will have a great dinner and a relaxing time!

  • Deanna has been preparing meals for my family for over a year. Each week we choose a menu from her suggested list or by sending in recipes of dishes we would like to try. The meals require very little prep time and come packaged in disposable containers. Deanna could not make this any easier. To make things ever greater, Deanna prepares the meals specifically for my family and therefore can accommodate all our dietary requests. All the ingredients are fresh, local, organic (if requested) and in season. My family counts down the days until Deanna delivers her delicious meals right to our kitchen! Five stars for Chef4Rent!!
